Volunteer Roles

In general, we are unable to accept volunteers or co-op students at the Ottawa Birth and Wellness Centre due to limited staff capacity.

From time to time, positions become available for qualified individuals on our Board of Directors, or on one of our Committees. Those openings will be posted here, and shared through our social media channels.

Community Placements for Midwifery Students

The Ottawa Birth and Wellness Centre is pleased to offer community placements for Midwifery Education Program students. These one month placements offer students the chance to learn more about how birth centres work, to work alongside our staff team, to undertake special projects, and to observe births at the Centre.

If you would like to find out more about a community placement at the Ottawa Birth and Wellness Centre, please contact us.
